The Gathering of H&CC Family

17th ANNUAL – APRIL / JULY  2025

For the past 16 years, we have had the privilege of organizing something truly special—a family-focused educational getaway that has brought Ethiopian-American families together in meaningful and unforgettable ways. Through the Heritage & Culture Camp (H&CC), we have built more than just a program; we have created a community—the H&CC Family! We are proud to be the only organization that unites all families raising Ethiopian-American children, and for many, our Camp has become the highlight of the summer.

After hosting successful events for 10 years in the USA, a group of us had the incredible opportunity to travel to Ethiopia in 2019—the place where it all began. The experience was nothing short of transformative, especially for our children. It brought them closer to one another on a deeper level and to the land that connects us all. That journey strengthened our commitment to ensuring our children remain connected to their roots, to each other, and to the rich culture that has shaped us as a family.

That passion for connection inspired us to expand our vision, resulting in CampVenture Africa 2024, which was an incredible success in Ethiopia and Kenya. Families came back calling it “the trip of a lifetime”, and it was so rewarding to know that we had helped create such meaningful and lasting memories for everyone who joined us.

Now, we’re excited to announce that in 2025, we’re taking it even further! For the first time ever, we’re offering two CampVenture Africa programs—Spring & Summer editions—giving you the flexibility to choose the best time for your family to explore and connect with Africa.

We believe that returning to Africa is a powerful way to build deep, meaningful connections—not just for our children, but for the entire family.
